While, I this for a Secondary subject specific interview, the questions will remain the same regardless of subject or level, inc. primary, secondary and FE. Included in the grid are questions that I was asked and those which I found through research to be the most likely questions to be asked. Most of the time they key questions always asked are - why do you want to be a teacher, why do you want to teach this subject, a behavior management questions, a safeguarding question and a subject knowledge question as well as others which are included. So, it is a good idea to have a solid idea of how you would answer these questions and be prepared - remember you are showing them your potential as a teacher! I personally printed them and noted down some answers so I had a prompt when I was asked them. If you have an online interview (like I did because of COVID-19) then you could display them around your camera to prompt your responses but remember don’t stare at them or focus on them too long as you don’t want your interviewer thinking that you’re distracted. The resource itself is a set of flashcards, with questions on one side and the answers on the flipped side. 25 DIFFERENT FLASHACRDS! They take up the form of flipped opposites. For example, “What is the formula for depreciation?” Then the answer on the reverse side. The flashcards are then flipped to “What does this formula calculate?” These flashcards are great to give to students to use and revise from on the go. Have the in their pocket, so when waiting for the lesson to start they can be looking at them. It is designed to help students understand what a PEEL paragraph is and how they can use it in their writing, across all subjects and levels. The resource itself is split into 4 different posters/displays/worksheets. The first is a guide to show what each letter of PEEL stands for and how you form a paragraph using the acronym. It also gives simple image to illustrate the main point of the letter. The second includes a range of sentence starters for each of the letters, giving students a starting point form and write a PEEL paragraph. The third gets students to think about what they need to do when forming a peel paragraph. Giving simple questions, that students should think about and try to find out before writing the paragraph. The fourth is writing frame template to help student form and write the perfect PEEL paragraph. Also, included is a variety of different planning sheets, to help students prepare and plan what they are going to write in their paragraph. All 5 planning pages coincide with colour codes of PEEL for each letter, perfect to help students get their learning and understanding together to form the perfect paragraph! All slides are colour coded, in conjunction with PEEL, so each letter has its own colour. You could print them in A3 size to display around your classroom, so if students get stuck they can refer to them. Or, you could print onto one sheet and hand to students to put in their diary or stick in their books for future reference.
